The 3rd Chronicle
Hello Family & Friends!
Now that I'm outta the MTC... Monday is Preparation Day!! And we all know what that means... another great email retailing some awesome spiritual adventures 😄.
So, Elder Rasband came to the MTC!!! So cool to be in the same room as an apostle. He delivered a powerful talk on personal revelation. He shared that Pres. Nelson keeps a pad of paper and a pencil next to his bed stand at night, to write down impressions and revelation. It made me think of whether I'm open and ready to receive revelation. What and where is my pad of paper? Also, he challenged us to re-read last conf talks over again... especially Pres. Nelson's.
We had a great district goal this week to have increased diligence. To help track that we made and updated a list everyday of all the specific times we needed to follow (i.e. Wakeup, Meal Times, Back at Residence, Lights Outs) Every time a whole companionship did that, they got to put a symbol on our chart. We did really good! Very helpful. We made sure to use the S.M.A.R.T. goal principles (Specific. Measurable. Attainable. Relevant. Timely.)
Got a very nice haircut! The barber shop was a refreshing change of pace from classes. Fresh haircuts are the best XD Oh and right as I left, the lady started listening to P&P music. Great taste, and I enjoyed the memories of the play 😊
I got to say the closing prayer at the Sunday devotional last night!! So cool :D Did I mention there were 980 missionaries there? 😉 Everyone said I did amazing... which made me feel good 'cause I had been pondering and praying to know what to say the whole day before =).
Currently writing this email on the plane to Nebraska, Omaha!!! Left the MTC this morning. So crazy today is the day!
Also had to share, I met an Elder Campbell (who is an amazing photographer) because he was shooting with a Sony a6000 (I have the same camera) and turns out he shoots on an A7 (so jealous) and ran his own biz before the mission and everything!! He showed me a bit of his work. Definitely will have to get in touch with him in two years.
