The 25th Chronicle
Hello Family & Friends!
Jeremy is rocking it! Like he is legit the most prepared person I have ever met, ever! He blows us away every... single... day!! He is not just “golden” ...he is PLATINUM. I love getting to meet with him. His passion for the gospel and the Book of Mormon is so inspiring. It goes to show that the Lord is really placing people in our lives. Not only does he lead us TO them, but he knows that we are the exact missionaries that can help them progress. Jeremy shared with us that he doesn't think he would have been so open to the gospel if it hadn't been Elder Foran and I that delivered the Book of Mormon he requested online. So excited for him and his journey. He is killing it!
What makes a good day good? Is it getting enough sleep the night before? Is it making sure to eat enough nutritious food? Is it hydrating properly? Is it getting to wake up to a crisp morning run? Is it having a sweet planning session? Is it a solid schedule? Is it good execution? Is it a clean apartment or car? Is it having a fantastic companion? Is it working hard? Is it meaningful connection? Is it rolling with the punches? Is it spiritual experiences? Is is cool music? Well, I'd have to say all of the above! No matter what though, if I don't read my scriptures, pray, or be obedient... it is all for not. Good days are good because of the joy that comes from Him.
What do you do during the hard days? We all have them. They stink. They are rough. They can cause despair or depression. How do we get over them? For me, I start by checking to see if my body is okay. Sometimes bad days happen because I just don't have the nutrients that I need. Next I check to see if I have done the basics like prayer and scriptures. After that, I'll go and get active. Walk around, take a run, or do jumping jacks. If those don't work then I'll try to find a way to serve someone and get my mind off of myself. I'll throw myself into a project and work hard to accomplish it. Even after all that, sometimes the blues will persist and I just have to push through and wait until the end of the day when I can crawl into bed and wait for the refresh of sleep and the clear slate of a new day.
Kia Kaha!
Elder Brady
