The 43rd Chronicle
Hello family and friends!
We found a bunch of people this week! The only struggle now is to help them to come to church and to accept a baptismal date. This week we continued our frequent visits to the local malls and stores. We also branched out to local colleges, shopping centers, strip malls, outlets, boutiques, and historic down town shops. One in particular was exciting. We stopped by a Bentley dealer hoping to find someone that was YSA. Nope! But we did get to have a brief conversation with a guy that worked there. Those cars are NICE! Next time you have 400K lying around, you can shoot me an email and I'll get you in contact with them =)
We had exchanges with the Eagle Run Elders (Elder Harrison and Elder McDonald). We got to take one of the people they are teaching to a tour at the Trail Center. It was super cool! I love going there. He wanted to soak in the experience so we showed him a couple videos and had the Sisters give him a detailed explanation of our church's history. He loved it and is now set on date! Another cool thing is the Mormon Trail Center will be undertaking a few remodels to now include a distribution center and a book store. There isn't anything like that in Nebraska or in surrounding states. Such a blessing!
Another miracle this week was at our YSA activity on Saturday (Basketball). We had eight non-members show up due to one young man's invitation. So cool! He is about to go on a mission and is super busy with work and school, but he has still found time to help bring his close friends to the gospel. I think at times we believe missionary work has to be some big task or endeavor. Not the case. Missionary work really is just becoming friends with God's children, inviting them to learn more, and then following up. This young man did that and now we are in contact with his friends for future activities and possibly to teach them more. Awesome!
Kia Kaha!
