The 46th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

This last week was transfers! I'm staying in the Winter Quarter's YSA Ward as a District Leader with Elder Bocchino. Super glad to be able to be here! After a transfer of work, it's been rewarding to finally see the fruits of our labor. We have people on date, people at church, and we are continuing to find more to teach. We have been hitting downtown Omaha recently which has been fun. Lots of aesthetic shops and people! I've run into quite a few photographers as we've walked around. Kinda cool how a passion of mine has given me the ability to connect with God's children and provide an opportunity to share the gospel as well!

Quick story: As we walked around Old Market this week, we met a lot of homeless people on the streets. One guy we passed was huddled in a ball surrounded by trash. Elder Bocchino (trying to be nice) offered him a granola bar. The dude flipped out and started shouting at us. It was interesting cause what he started spouting was something that resembled a long, memorized, surprisingly articulate speech about how bad we were and how horrible the church was. Kinda crazy how fast he went from 0-60 mph. XD We just stood there while he ranted (which he didn't like), so he jumped up and proceeded to yell in our faces some not so nice words. While finishing up with exclamation, he indicated his desire for us to leave. So we did. The next day we ran into him again and he yelled at us, but with less enthusiasm as the first time. Last night we saw him crossing the street. This time he seemed more well-tempered 'cause all he said was something like “It seems like you guys keep following me around". Sure, I didn't appreciate him yelling at me that first time, but one never knows what someone is going through. He has probably been through a lot and may not be totally responsible for the way he reacted. I don't have to be offended or hurt by what he said, because I can have charity for him regardless. It was a cool experience.

Can't remember if I have mentioned this before, but as part of YSA-Finding-Activities we spend a ton of time at stores because that's where all the young peeps are at. One way we've started conversations is to ask for advice or suggestions from employees and shoppers alike. Long story short, during this process of finding, I have come across what may be the best smelling perfume in the world. I present to you VIVA LA JUICY BOWDACIOUS. Feel free to hit your local Ulta, Sephora, or boutique to try it out and send me your review. See the attached photos.

Kia Kaha!
