The 56th Chronicle
Hello family and friends!
I wanna get real for a second to testify of the power and grace of God. He loves us so much. He is continually pouring blessings down upon us. His arms are always open. Yet, there are times in life when we don't feel his love, see his blessings, or feel the protection of his arms. Why? Because we block him out with our lack of obedience, dedication, or commitment. He wants to help us but we have to let Him in. Well, this last week we let Him in, and I have seen such a flood of miracles not only in our area but also across our Zone. In fact, I'm basically serving in a whole new mission! It is still called the Nebraska Omaha Mission, but the meaning of that name is totally different. There is an electrifying fire in the air! We are repenting, recommitting, grinding, working to help other missionaries, and using what's called the YES list. We (as in 'all of us') are fighting with all that we have to see forty convert baptisms in the month of June. We had Elder Brian Taylor visit our mission for MLC and Zone Conference. He brought with him a spirit of vision and inspiration. I'm so grateful for the timing of his visit combined with the personal preparation I've been going through over the last few weeks. Our Mission Leadership Council was one of the most spiritual meetings I have been to. That's really where it all started. I felt like mental blocks and success-hindering-walls were dissolved instantly as we were instructed by our leaders. Pretty much just hit a restart button to my mission and it feels soooo good. Look for some pretty sweet things to come over the next few weeks. Oh, and I should probably mention that Elder Renlund of the Twelve Apostles is coming on Saturday. Super cool!!
So this paragraph is less cool than the life-changing account above, but I would still like to share another highlight of the week. It dumped the other day!! We woke up at 4am to hail pounding on the roof and a sheet of rain pouring from the sky. It was a storm to be sure! The next day we looked out the window and saw a river where the road used to be. Kinda fun!
Kia Kaha!
