The 60th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! Today means a lot to me. I have had a passion for this country and it's history since a young age. I still remember in elementary school reading stories of the brave men and women who fought for our freedom. They have been an example and role model for me ever since. I can't imagine what my life would be like if they had not sacrificed what they did. They pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. Can you think of what an impact that had on the course of history? The world still feels the effects of it! It shows me that what I do today is important. What I do today will change and direct not only my life but the lives of countless others. Today also reminds me of our religious freedom. What a blessing! We can worship our God as we see appropriate and right. Thank God for his goodness and mercy.

We've been on exchanges basically all week! We went with Glenwood, Winter Quarter's, and Fontenelle. I went with Elder Conlee (again), Elder Gonzalez, and Elder Belliston. Haha, okay. So I've always wanted to bike as a missionary at least once. This week I got my chance! As Elder Conlee and I planned out our day, we included time to bike around a small town south of Glenwood. We got there, pulled out the bikes, and started down the road. The wind rushed through my hair. I used all the proper hand signals. I could see the film crews in the distance shooting my every move. This was fantastic! I had finally hit the glory moment in every missionary’s life. I felt like a real missionary! We got half a block, and just like in the movies...Elder Conlee got a flat. AGHHHHH!! I was SO sad. I had waited my whole mission for this moment. We took the bike back to the car and just had to walk the town instead a little defeated.

Despite the insanity of all we had to do this week, we had straight up miracles with key indicators! After a long time of very little progress we saw four new people begin taking the lessons, three people come to church, and two people agree to be baptized later this month. So exciting! Oh oh oh and my absolute FAVORITE part of this week was the news that we hit our goal of forty baptisms in the month of June! Huge achievement. God is so good.

Kia Kaha!
Elder Brady

P.s. Study journal pictures are from some recent studies. The two drawings of Jesus and the horse were inspired by other missionaries original art or cartoon art from primary 😉
