The 71st Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

I've learned a lot this week.

1) Emotion comes from motion.
2) Our feelings are affected by our focus.
3) Our language patterns create our reality.

I've been trying to focus a ton more on being grateful. It's been a really cool experience. I'm happier and less stressed. Pretty sweet. We saw some really fun things this week as part of that. Our friend Zech is now set on date for baptism this coming month. We also had three people come to church that we're working with including Zech and a Part-Member family. The Lord is helping us understand how to involve the members and ward in the work.

I've also learned how to ask more quality questions! Rather than asking myself "Why aren't the members helping us more?" I've been asking myself "Why are the members reaching out to us asking how they can help?" or "Why are members doing such a fantastic job of supporting the people we are teaching?” Asking different questions bring different answers. Are you asking yourself the right questions?

We had Zone Council this week which was a blast. We brought the whole Zone together at the Stake Center and met in the High Council room. We started with the question of the day, "What is your favorite inspirational quote?” We also had a beautiful musical number by our STLs, "More Holiness Give Me". We gave a training/discussion on motivation and planning to achieve our goals. Then we turned on some inspiring music and invited each of them to create a plan with their RESULT, PURPOSE, AND PLAN written out. Essentially they thought about their what, why, and how. It was a pretty cool meeting. The spirit was present and that's the most important part!

Quote of the Week: "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward." -Martin Luther King Jr.
