The 74th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

After spending the last six months in Council Bluffs and the combined total of a year in the Council Bluffs zone, it's time for me to pack my bags and ship off to Husker Nation down in Lincoln, Nebraska. It's capitol time. Let's go! I'll be serving with Elder Andrew as a Zone Leader in the Lincoln University YSA ward. It's gonna be a blast.

We had a fantastic week of councils and conferences! On Wednesday we had our Mission Leadership Council. We discussed our baptismal goal for October. It was a pretty inspirational experience as we counseled together using what information we had to set a spirit-lead goal. Then we got an exclusive look into the #LightTheWorldOneByOne campaign for 2019 and a new 18-min long short film premiering November 24th. It's called "The Christ Child" and it is truly beautiful. I really enjoyed it and think you will too, so be on the look out! The next day we had Zone Conference where we talked a lot about the gathering of Israel, which includes us! Too many missionaries go less-active after their missions. It was good to ponder what it takes to stay on the covenant path. We also learned about patriarchal blessings. Then HOLY COW General Conference was SO GOOD! In my notes I usually put a star next to my favorite talks and more than half the talks have a star next to them. What insights did you get from #GeneralConference?

Quick miracle I saw today! We have to reset our password every couple months for security and so last week I did just that. I usually use my thumbprint to unlock my phone and so I haven't had to use my password since resetting it. Well, this morning my phone asked me to type in my password instead of using my thumbprint. To my dismay I couldn't remember my password! I tried and tried to remember it . . . but couldn't. If I wasn't able to remember it I would have to reset my phone entirely (which would delete a ton of information). I was kinda getting stressed out over it when the thought came to pray. Hmm, "ask and ye shall receive!". I knelt in prayer and asked Heavenly Father for the Holy Ghost to bring into my mind the password. That's when I started to write down every option I could think of. Then the miracle came as I tried a couple options and the password popped back into my mind. Boom and click, I was in! You may think this is a silly example, but I think it's profound and another great example of God's tender mercies. So not matter how small it is ...turn to the Lord and watch his hand work in your life.
