The 76th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

This week was a blast! Elder Andrew and I got home almost every night at 9:30pm just exhausted. We've been working hard and it's been crazy. Nothing better than a good days work behind you and the prospective of rest. We had two exchanges, a plethora of meetings, the task of preparing for baptisms, and juggling all the wonderful people we are teaching.

Poor kid! It all started when we were heading back to the apartment real quick to grab something we had forgotten. We turned left at the intersection in front of our apartment complex and then started to turn right into the apartment parking lot when the truck in front of us abruptly stopped. He sat there for a few seconds and we wondered what was up. Then the truck's backing lights flipped on and Elder Andrew said, "Oh shoot!"  as he laid on the horn. The truck gunned it then rammed into the front of our car with his bumper and hitch. Plastic pieces were everywhere! Looked like confetti. The impact wasn't bad enough to hurt anyone but the poor 'rolla got wrecked. The truck stopped and out pops this seventeen year old kid. His facial expression was that of shock and tears. Poor kid. It was his first accident and it could've been avoided had he checked his mirrors, had a backer, or flipped around rather than backed. We exchanged info and tried to help him relax. He was on his way to church for worship services too. Thankfully no one was hurt and insurance would cover it. Nothing like one small decision costing $5,000

God is so good! I have found that during and especially after trials is when we see blessings. We are teaching so many cool people right now. The Lord has entrusted us with many of his precious sons and daughters who are seeking for his guidance. I'm glad to have the opportunity to see his hand through thick and thin. It was a rough few transfers feeling as if I wasn't seeing any major results. I'm seeing that now.
