The 81st Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

Transfers was this week! I'll be staying in the Capitol and Lincoln YSA Wards in the Lincoln Zone with Elder Andrew as a Zone Leader. This area has been such a blessing and I've felt the Lord touching our efforts. We had some sweet missionaries come in! We also saw some great missionaries leave. I'll be here through Christmas so if you want to send this poor missionary (who is far from home) some holiday cheer I would much appreciate it 😄

Someone threw a brick at our church! Well not exactly AT the church but more AT a window and a door of the church. It went right through in both cases and shattered glass all over. Quite entertaining! Well, the work moves on. No unhallowed brick-throwing-hand can stop this work from progressing.

Emmanuel's baptism went so well! The testimony that he shared as part of the program was packed with power. I love hearing the Spirit bear witness to these precious new members. The members of the ward gave great support and it turned out to be an uplifting afternoon.

I was ill. Well, more like I was sick. Not fun. But! Pain is temporary. It makes room for joy. It resets our priorities. It helps us return to our God. At least that's how I look at it. So wash your hands, take your vitamins, stay away from sick people, dress for the weather, and pray you stay well but if you DO get sick I learned to see it as an opportunity to grow.

Last of all YSA is a party. I really enjoy getting to work with my peers. At times I have the opportunity to inspire and at other times to instruct. It's cool to see myself in young Elders who are preparing for missions and in older members who have returned. They have a passion for the gospel and an enthusiasm to do the work with us. Pretty cool!
