The 86th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

Can I get a "God is so good!"?? We had a blast this last week. Let's start and end with some miracles...

1) This guy we've been trying to get in touch with for the last three months texted us out of the blue with his new number and a message saying he was sorry he hadn't been around but he wanted to meet up soon. Score!

2) A girl we've also been working with in tandem with the YSA Sisters (she is not a member yet but basically is) said she is thinking of serving a mission soon after her baptism! So hyped! She has legit been so solid. Church every week. Reads the Book of Mormon daily. Studies "Come, Follow Me" weekly. Understands the gospel front and back. Has given multiple talks in sacrament meeting as well as borne her testimony on Fast Sundays. We're pumped!

3) Miracle #3!! It all started with us sending some info to the YSA Sisters about people formally taught in our YSA area book. They tried this one dot and it turned out to be a less-active part-member family with unbaptized kids who had recently moved in (they used to attend the family ward we cover). It was so sweet. So we visited them last week. We brought a member from the YSA ward, Julie, with us because she knows basically everyone in the stake. We knocked and one of the daughters opened the door. She said her Mom wasn't home and was about to close the door when she saw Julie. "Julie! I haven't seen you in years. Come on in. I'll go grab my Mom." Lol. It went so well. We found two new people to teach that night. We also started to help this family prepare to come back to church. They still have strong testimonies and just needed another invitation. It was also sweet because one came to church! The family didn't wake up in time to give her a ride so she texted us wanting to know the address so she could ride her bike. It was too late for that service so we got her a ride to the YSA ward and she loved it. Before she left she told us she really was touched by the spirit and felt at home. She also expressed an interest in taking the lessons and being baptized. We had a sweet lesson and set her on date. We're so ready for January!

4) Bonus miracle! The new "Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon 2020" is so nice. I'm a big fan. Very much excited to study one of my favorite books of scripture as an individual, as a companionship, as a ward, and as a church. The book is BLUE. The church is TRUE.
