The 92nd Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

Sooooo... we had a very interesting sacrament meeting. Long story short, two men attended the Holmes Lake Ward last week. One of them stood up during fast and testimony meeting to bear his testimony. It sounded great until the part about how Mormonism is false and said the Book of Mormon is a fraud. They cut the microphone and the Elders Quorum made a line in front of the podium as they escorted him out. He tried to bash in the parking lot for another 30 minutes as well. Word spread quick and we heard all about it on our last Preparation Day. We said to ourselves, “Wouldn’t that be crazy if it happened at one of our wards?" Be careful what you wish for. (Okay, this is more of a short story gone long, but we'll continue.) We get to the YSA Ward on Sunday, sit down in the back, and prepare for a spiritual meeting. Shortly after the meeting starts, two men walk in. One had glasses, a bible, and a Jesus shirt. The other brought his phone to record our reaction. At the end of the sacrament meeting the first guy stood up and tried to get everyone's attention. Little did he know that the Spirit of discernment had warned me and my companion to tell our Elders Quorum 1st Counselor who texted our Elders Quorum President who informed the High Councilor. He remembered what happened last week too, and when the man stood up he was on him like a bird of prey. He informed this gentleman that he was trespassing, not welcome, and that we would be informing the authorities. The guy left. Basically, it was quite interesting. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing!

This week included people dropping us because of anti, 2 chill homies that we started teaching, 8 non-members at church, an exchange with the Beatrice Elders, traveling to Crete to teach a college student, breakfast with the Stake President, and one hilarious District Council.

Quote of the Week: "It’s easy to believe in something when you win all the time, it's the losses that defines a man's faith.”
