The 94th Chronicle

Hello family and friends!

New comp! New area! New ward! New stake! New district! New zone! New state! New phone number! New car! New apartment! New leadership responsibilities! New people to teach! New church building! New everything! Wowsa, that's what happens when one gets transferred to whitewash an area of the mission they have never been to. It sure has been overwhelming but it's been a positive experience overall. The drive was sure eventful since I was sick to my stomach all the way up with over 5 hours of driving. It is what it is. We've hit the ground running and have had some amazing experiences. In the first five days we called the whole ward council, set up multiple 8-9pm meetings, attended a ward party, had dinner with a few families, spoke in sacrament meeting, introduced ourselves in primary, went to ward council, had a correlation meeting, set someone on date, visited recent converts, and managed to have two people at church. Our goal is to work really hard with the members using the YES list. There is so much untapped potential here. I'm very excited to serve here. We're grateful for the warm welcome and the members have been so generous to us. Stayed tuned.

Quote of the Week: "Goal setting is essentially beginning with the end in mind. And planning is devising a way to get to that end. A key to happiness lies in understanding what destinations truly matter -- and then spending our time, effort, and attention on the things that constitute a sure way to arrive there." -M. Russell Ballard
